Frodsham and District History Society is a vibrant society, which is in its 40th year. Our membership is growing and is nearing 100. The society has a significant collection of photographs, artefacts, books, maps and journals that are currently stored in the Archives collection in Castle Park House.
It aims to promote the study of, and interest in, history and archaeology with particular reference to Frodsham and the surrounding district. It achieves this by holding monthly meetings, an annual trip and the production of an annual Journal, written and researched by members. Click here for details of the current programme
The Society promotes the value of local history and heritage to the wider community of Frodsham through the placement of 30 Blue Plaques across the town, many of them initiated by members of the Society this millennium.
In addition, the Society mounts occasional topical displays and exhibitions and encourages valued historic buildings to participate in the national Heritage Open Days event each September.
Details of the next meeting can be found here.
Indoor meetings are held in the Main Street Community Church,. For details of how to find it and parking arrangements, click here
